3rd October - 26th October

This body of work is the result of a 20 year collaboration between Neil Shawcross and the master print maker and artist Stu Oxley at the Riverside Studio in the beautiful Elora, Ontario Canada.

As a master printer Stu has made a very significant contribution to the noble art, editioning prints for numerous distinguished international contemporary artists.

Each print produced is correctly referred to as an “impression” not a copy and the matrix is subsequently destroyed.

The earliest known example of print making can be traced to a woodblock print on silk dated to the Han Dynasty in China between 206 B.C. and 220 A.D.

Neil's work is slightly more up to date but no less important.

Neil was a champion of the print making department at Belfast College of Art which was under the stewardship and guidance of his good friend Bill Penny.

This exhibition is a celebration of print making.
